2019 Taiwan Tech International Engineering Summer Camp has finished successfully

Taiwan Tech International Engineering Summer Camp hold by College of Engineering for international high school students has completed successfully.

This year, we have students from 4 countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Taiwan.  This camp is like a pre-college summer program. We provided basic engineering courses during the camp for students to experience the college life. Also, through some cultural activities, students get to know more about Taiwanese culture.

- The course of Chemical Engineering gave students an opportunity for hands-on practical research about chemical reactions. After learning, students can become Harry Potter to do the magic by using chemicals.

- Professors of Materials Science taught students the carbon-based materials and allotropes such as diamond, graphene, fullerence, carbon nanotube and let students make a Buckyball (Fullerene, C60) model by drinking straws.

- During the course of Civil and Construction, students needed to build a bridge by papers. They needed to consider the efficiency of the bridge they designed. We held a competition that we calculated how many pounds students' bridges could hold.

During the course of Mechanical Engineering, students designed their own custom stamps including the logos and handles through 3D printing technique.

2019 Taiwan Tech International Engineering Summer Camp ended on a high! Thank you to everyone who came along. We made the most beautiful memories during these 8 days. See you!
