Dear Students,

The health and safety of students is the first priority for us. Taiwan Tech has a strong history of welcoming international students from all around the world. We understand that parents and friends concern about the situation of coronavirus in Taiwan, so this is the purpose of this letter, telling all of you that we are following all Government Guidance and doing every possible precautions to protect students away from the threat of coronavirus. Everyone in Taiwan has been working very hard to keep Taiwan safe and we have been doing quite good so far, so please, let’s keep it this way.

Please take those information below as your reference:

1. This is the website for you to check the situation of coronavirus in Taiwan (https://www.cdc.gov.tw/En). And Taiwan’s public healthcare system is excellent among the world, please do not worry. (http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/taiwan/archives/2020/02/11/2003730760).

2.  International students can buy surgical mask as long as you have NHI or ARC card (each mask will cost you 5NT dollars, https://www.oia.ntust.edu.tw/files/14-1017-77830,r1-1.php?Lang=en).

3.  All the students in Taiwan, no matter they are local or international students, have student insurance or NHI card. If they do not feel well, they can directly go to hospital. (https://www.nhi.gov.tw/English/, please check the NHI official website in which they have instructions in different language for your reference)

4.  The campus website will provide updated information for everyone at school with questions or concerns about COVID-19. It will be updated on a regular basis (https://anti-epidemic.ntust.edu.tw/index.php?Lang=en).
