Engineers in Action is a technical project created by the College of Engineering of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. The project aims to create a chance for students at Taiwan Tech to contribute for the community by implementing engineering skills they learned in class. This year, some of the IATP students also joined the project and went to Dong Ao Elementary School and Sih Ji Elementary School in Yilan, Taiwan. Some of them learned how to lay bricks, shovel and mix cement, design structures, make a water ditch facility, and also install the water pipes to renovate the school. Others taught elementary students about recycle and globalization to help upgrade the environment on the campus. The others taught elementary students English. Students from Taiwan Tech and students from two elementary schools have learned the cultures from each other.

The project provided a great opportunity for students to enhance certain knowledge and skills, get used to the multicultural environment and meet new friends.
